# Connection protection

It's a warning that the site doesn't use [encryption](https://yandex.ru/blog/company/77455), which means you need to avoid entering sensitive information like passwords or credit card details on the site.

On these sites, hackers can:


- Intercept or tamper with your personal data and read your messages.
- Gain access to your banking details (card number, cardholder name, expiration date, and CVV2) and use them to steal money from your account.
