Search bar

The search bar in the notification bar or on your device lock screen provides quick access to Yandex Search. It may also contain various widgets, such as the weather or traffic.

Add the search bar

1. Go to  (profile picture) → App settings.

2. Go to Notifications and tap Search bar.
3. Enable the options you need:
   • Search bar to display the search bar in the notification bar.
   • Weather notifier, Traffic informer, or Exchange rate informer to add the widget to the notification bar.
   • Search bar on lock screen to display the search bar on your smartphone lock screen.

Remove the search bar

1. Go to  (profile picture) → App settings.

2. Go to Notifications and tap Search bar.
3. Disable the Search bar option.

Why do I have two search bars?

Apps other than Yandex Start, such as Yandex Browser, Yandex app, or Yandex Maps have their own search bars. That's why multiple search bars may appear on your device.

You can disable the extra search bars in their app settings.
