Theme
App theme
You can choose the dark, light, or system background for app elements (tabs, the SmartBox, and others).

On the home screen, tap
(profile picture). -
Tap App settings → Theme.

Select one of the options:
- Always dark
- Always light
- System settings
Theme on websites
Websites are displayed in light or dark theme regardless of the app theme. You can also force dark theme on websites. If it makes the site look worse, you can switch to light theme.
On all websites
Note
If the light app theme is enabled, you can't enable dark theme on websites.
To enable dark theme on websites:
- Tap (profile picture) on the Home screen.
- Tap App settings → Theme.
- Select Always dark or System.
- Enable Dark theme for websites.
On a specific website
Note
To configure the color scheme of a specific website, you need to have dark theme enabled for all websites.
To enable light theme on a website:
- While on the site page, tap
to the right of the SmartBox. - Tap Site light theme.
To disable light theme for the website, tap → Site dark theme.
Problems with the theme
There's no dark theme
To make the feature available, update the app.
I can't change the theme in Yandex services
If you changed the appearance of Yandex services in the settings but nothing has changed, the problem may be in the Yandex app.
Set the same theme in the app as in Yandex services.
