Description and cost

Route recommendation is an ad format that's displayed when a user plots a route: they will see a suggestion to stop by the advertiser's point of sale along the way. The recommendation appears even before the user starts moving along the route, drawing attention to the brand and attracting visitors to the points of sale.

How it works

Ads are natively integrated into the user scenario. While they're plotting the route, the recommendation is displayed as an additional toggle on the route options panel. Yandex Navigator and Yandex Maps only suggest offline points that won't significantly affect travel time. When the user taps the recommendation, the advertised location will be added as an intermediate stop on their route. After that, they can start following the new route.

This is an ad format with CPA payment, which means you only pay when a user starts following a modified route that includes a visit to your point of sale.

The format is helpful for advertisers with multiple offline locations in the city and organizations that people frequently visit along their way, such as fast-food chains or retailers that sell fast-moving consumer goods.

* "Real estate" — advertising materials where the subject of advertising includes: the sale and rental of residential real estate, developers, real estate agencies, information about commercial real estate, sales offices, and so on.

** "Auto" — placement of advertising materials from the "Car dealerships" category of the Yandex Maps Directory.

*** "Other categories" — anything except what's specified under "*" and "**".

Seasonal coefficients

The coefficient applies on the day the campaign is delivered. For example, a campaign running from January to March will have three different multipliers applied over that period.
