Create a campaign

Campaigns are created within an order. Create an order so you can create a campaign.

Step 1. Configure the main settings

  1. Go to the order and click Create new campaign.

  2. Specify the name of the campaign. We recommend using this format: Advertiser name — Ad format — Month.

  3. Specify the budget excluding VAT.

  4. Set your daily spending limit for the campaign (excluding VAT). When the limit is reached, your ads will pause until the next day.

    Tip

    We recommend that you enable the Automatic limit option.

  5. Specify the start and end dates for the campaign.

  6. If necessary, apply Advanced settings. You can:

    • Select the days and hours for ad display.

    • Select the time zone used to calculate the days for ad display.

    • Set a limit on the number of impressions per user per day.

    • Set up audience targeting by interests, demographic and geographic characteristics.

      Alert

      When you enable targeting, CPM increases.

    • Under Audit, add a Yandex Metrica impression pixel for display ads.

      How do I get the pixel
      1. Go to your Yandex Metrica account and create a display campaign.
      2. Select Yandex geo display ads as the placement platform. Set this in the Placement field. To learn more, see Yandex Metrica Help for display advertising.
      3. Once you’ve created a display ad campaign in Yandex Metrica, you can copy the impression pixel and add it to your campaign in the Yandex Geo Advertising dashboard.

      Statistics will start collecting as soon as you add the pixel in the Yandex Geo Advertising dashboard.

  7. Click Next step.

Step 2. Select ad placements

  1. Select the cities where your ads will be shown.

  2. You can select an area on the map where your banner will be shown. To add an area, select Add area on map and click on the map to set a point. Drag the cursor from the point to draw the coverage area (at least 3 km2).

  3. Click Next step.

Step 3. Prepare a banner

  1. Upload a banner image that meets the requirements. The section on the right shows how the banner will appear in the app.

  2. In the Ad category field, select the option you need from the drop-down list:

    • Medicinal products, medical services, medical equipment.
      The banner will display the disclaimer: "Contraindications apply. Consult your doctor."
    • Dietary supplements.
      The banner will display the disclaimer: "Not a medicine".
    • Baby food for children under one year old.
      Indicate the age in months. The provided value will appear in the banner disclaimer: "For feeding children from months. Breastfeeding is recommended. Consult your doctor."
    • New buildings.
      Specify the name of the developer. The provided value will appear in the banner disclaimer: "For project declaration, visit наш.дом.рф. Developer . You can enter up to 55 characters in the Developer field.
    • Financial services.
      Specify the name of your legal entity. The description will appear in the banner disclaimer. You can enter up to 50 characters in the field Legal entity providing financial services.
    • Loans or mortgages.
      Specify the name of your legal entity. The description will appear in the banner disclaimer: ". Check all the loan terms in the relevant section of the site. Assess your financial capabilities and risks."
    • Certification.
      Specify the legal entity and the accreditation record number. The description will appear in the banner disclaimer. You can enter up to 40 characters in the field Legal entity or full name of the sole proprietor. You can enter up to 20 characters in the field Accreditation record number in the register of accredited persons.
    • Educational video.
      Specify an age restriction: 0+ / 6+ / 12+ / 16+ / 18+. The restriction will appear on the banner.
    • Other.
      If you can't find the relevant category, use this option: the banner won't have a disclaimer.

    If your campaign falls into two categories, such as new buildings with a mortgage, set one disclaimer in the Ad category field, and another one, directly in the banner image.

  3. Click Next step.

Step 4. Add an ad text

  1. Specify the title that will appear under the banner. Maximum length is 48 characters.

  2. Enter the text of your ad. Maximum length is 260 characters. The section on the right shows how the ad will appear in the app.

  3. If the advertising law applies to your organization, add a warning in the Disclaimer for the ad card field. Maximum length is 200 characters. You can skip this field if you've already specified the ad category when setting up your banner.

  4. Click Next step.

Step 5. Select the action to perform after a banner tap

  1. Select the action that will appear after a banner tap:

    • Site — to show the site after a banner tap, provide the site link.

    • Stories — to show ad stories after a banner tap, upload up to three stories and add a button to visit your site.

    • Fullscreen — to open a full-screen image of the banner after the user taps the banner, upload the image and add a button to visit your site.

  2. Click Next step.

Step 6. Submit the campaign for moderation

  1. Carefully check all the provided information.

  2. Click:

    • Submit for moderation, if you're ready to submit your campaign for review and start impressions.

    • Save as draft, if you want to save your progress and return later.

Impressions in Yandex Maps and Yandex Navigator will begin after you pay the invoice and the advertising materials pass moderation, but not before the start date you selected.
