# Permissions

Yandex Browser for Mobile requires access rights and permissions to function properly. Some of them are requested during installation, others when a certain function is launched.


## Access to notifications {#notifications}

Required to send reminders from [Yandex services](https://yandex.kz/support/browser-mobile-iphone/en/personal-settings/notifications.md#yandex).

If during installation you refused to provide Yandex Browser with access to notifications, you can do it later:


1. Open your smartphone settings.
1. Select **Notifications** → **Yandex**.
1. Enable **Allow notifications**.




## Access to activity tracking {#tracking}

Required for Yandex Search to consider your interests.

If during installation you refused to allow Yandex Browser to track your activities in apps and on websites, you can do it later:

1. Open your smartphone settings.
1. Select **Privacy & security** → **Tracking**.
1. Enable the option for **Yandex**.



## Access the camera {#camera}

Required for image search.

If you refused to give the browser access to the camera during installation, you can do it later:



1. Open your smartphone settings.
1. Select **Privacy & security** → **Camera**.
1. Enable the option for **Yandex**.


## Location {#geo}

Your location is used in the following cases:

- Websites can show you the most relevant information (for example, the local weather or traffic info on a map).
- The [SmartBox](https://yandex.kz/support/browser-mobile-iphone/en/navigation/search.md#smartbox) shows more accurate search suggestions, for example, about the weather.
- Settings show a list of search engines used in your region.
- The [Tableau](https://yandex.kz/support/browser-mobile-iphone/en/personal-settings/tableau.md) displays a default collection of sites for your region.

If you refused to give the browser access to your location during installation, you can do it later:



1. Open your smartphone settings.
1. Select **Yandex**.
1. Allow access to your location when using the app.
