## TalkBack support{#TalkBack}

Yandex Browser supports the [TalkBack](https://support.google.com/accessibility/android/answer/6007100) screen access program ([Voice Assistant and TalkBack](https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10002553/) on Samsung smartphones). It reads out everything that's on the screen. The user controls the process with gestures.

{% cut "Start TalkBack" %}

1. Open your device settings.

1. Go to the **Accessibility** section.

1. Enable **TalkBack**.

{% endcut %}

{% cut "Configure TalkBack settings" %}

1. To additionally display speech as text on the screen, enable **Talkback** → **Settings** → **Advanced settings** → **Developer settings** → **Display speech output**.

1. In the **Text-to-speech settings** section, select **Language**, then adjust **Speech rate** and **Pitch**.

1. In the **Sound and vibration** section, enable the following options:

    - **Vibration feedback**

    - **Audio ducking**

    - **Sound feedback**

    Adjust **Sound feedback volume**.

1. In the **Verbosity** section, enable the following options:

    - **Speak usage hints**

    - **Speak container info**

    - **Speak number of list items**

    - **Speak element type**

    - **Speak window names**

    - **Speak notifications when screen is off**

    - **Use pitch changes**

    - **Speak letters with examples**

1. Enable the **Speak passwords** option: **Talkback** → **Settings** → **Advanced settings** → **Audio** → **Speak passwords**.

{% endcut %}

## Font size adjustment{#font-size}

If you find it difficult to read small fonts or need to display the screen from a distance, increase the font size. It will make reading easier.

[More about text size](https://yandex.kz/support/browser-mobile-android-phone/en/personal-settings/site-appearance.md#scale)

## Dark theme{#dark-mode}

With the dark theme, the app background becomes dark, and the font becomes light. A dark screen reduces eye strain in dim light in the evening or at night.

## Mono sound{#monosound}

Usually, one part of an audio track is delivered to the left earphone, and the other to the right. Mono sound combines the two sound channels, and the sound is delivered equally to both earphones. This can be convenient if you want to use only one earphone (e.g., if you have an earache in the other ear).

{% cut "Enable mono sound" %}

{% note info %}

The path may vary depending on your device.

{% endnote %}

1. Open your device settings.

1. Go to **Advanced settings** → **Accessibility**.

1. In the **Hearing** tab, enable the **Mono audio** option.

{% endcut %}

## Contrast adjustment{#contrast}

Contrast makes text brighter and clearer compared to the background. It can be useful for users with poor vision or in bright lighting.

{% cut "Increase contrast" %}

{% note info %}

The path may vary depending on your device.

{% endnote %}

1. Open your device settings.

1. Go to **Advanced settings** → **Accessibility**.

1. In the **Vision** tab, enable the **High contrast text** option.

{% endcut %}

<!--## Subtitles{#subtitles}
