FAQ about installation and performance
Not enough space to install
To install Yandex Browser, you need at least 100 MB of free internal memory on your smartphone. If necessary, free up the space.
Note
External memory (for example, an SD card) doesn't count. On some smartphones, you can move the browser to external memory — but only after installation.

Yandex Browser won't install
Make sure your device has enough memory to install or update the app — check this in the Google Play app. If there is enough memory, this must be a Google Play issue.
Follow the recommendations below. If a recommendation doesn't help, proceed to the next one.
- Clear the Google Play cache.
- Open your device settings.
- Select Apps → Google Play → Storage → Clear cache.
- Restart your device.
- Clear all Google Play data. After that, you'll need to sign in to it again.
- Open your device settings.
- Select Apps → Google Play → Storage → Clear data.
- Contact the store support to find a solution.

Browser takes too long to start
Check for Yandex Browser updates.
Try clearing the Yandex Browser cache and temporarily disable extensions.
Clearing the cache

Tap
→Меню . -
Go to the Privacy section.

Tap Clear data.

Select Cache.
-
Deselect all the other options (if you only want to delete the browser cache).

Tap Clear data.

Confirm deletion.
Turn off extensions

On the open tab, tap
→ Extensions. -
Find the extension in the list and set the switch to Off.
Browser freezes

Update Yandex Browser to the latest version.

Clear the Yandex Browser cache.

Restart Yandex Browser.

Browser crashes

Update Yandex Browser to the latest version.

on which sites does the browser close most often;

what happens when you try to open it again (For example, you get an error message or the window doesn't open correctly).
If possible, attach a screenshot or a video of the error when the browser closes and a screenshot of the browser://crashes page.
Browser takes up a lot of space
Note
Mobile device manufacturers can change the Android interface. The instructions are for Androids without modifications.
Check how much space the browser cache takes up. To do this:

Open your device settings.

Tap Apps → All apps.

Select Yandex Browser → Memory.

If Data take up more than 200 MB, clear the browser cache:

Go to the Privacy section.

Tap Clear data.
-
Select Cache.
-
Deselect all the other options (if you only want to delete the browser cache).

Confirm deletion.
