# Installation and setup 

## Device requirements {#routing-install}

* Android 9+ / iOS 14+.
* 4 GB RAM or more.
* Mobile internet (3G, LTE).
* Geolocation (GPS, GLONASS).

## Download app {#download}

To ensure stable performance, keep the app updated to the latest version. Using older versions may result in bugs or unexpected behavior.

## First launch and registration {#first-on}

1. Open the app.

1. Tap **Log in**.

1. The next step depends on whether you previously logged in to other Yandex apps on this device:

    - New account

        Displayed if you have not previously logged in to other Yandex apps on this device. To log in:

        1. Enter your phone number and tap **Next**. A text message with a code will be sent to your number.

        1. Enter the code from the SMS.

        1. Enter your first and last name, then tap **Next**.
        
        1. Allow the following permissions:
        
            * Permission to access device location data.

            * Permission to send notifications.

           For accurate route tracking, [allow the app to use your location](#geolocation-settings).

        After that, you'll be logged in to the app.

    - Existing account

        Displayed if you have previously logged in to other Yandex apps on this device. 
        
        To log in, select an account.

        If your account is linked to a phone number that is: 
        
        * Registered in RouteQ, you'll be able to receive routes from the logistics coordinator or manually add waybills as an individual driver.
        * Not registered in RouteQ, you'll be able to add waybills as an individual driver, but won't see the logistics coordinator's routes.

        After selecting an account, you'll be logged in to the app.

## Manage your location settings {#geolocation-settings}

For accurate route tracking, allow the RouteQ app to use your location. 

The app will be able to track your location even when the device screen is off. This will ensure accurate navigation and timely updates of route information.

- iOS

  1. Open the device settings.
  1. Select **Privacy & Security** → **Location Services** → **RouteQ**.
  1. Select **Always**.

- Android

  1. Open the device settings.
  1. Select **Apps** → **RouteQ** → **Permissions** → **Location**.

     The path to the setting may vary by the device model.

  1. Select **Allow all the time**.

## Settings {#courier-settings}

Before you start using the app, make sure your account is set up correctly. To do this, tap **Settings** in the upper-right corner. Check the sections:

* **Phone**

    You can switch accounts by tapping **Log out** to the right of the phone number.

* **My companies**

    If your account is linked to a phone number that is: 
        
    * Registered in RouteQ, this section will show your client companies.

    * Not registered in RouteQ, the section will show the company **My routes**.

* **Navigation**

    1. Select your preferred navigation system — RouteQ, [Yandex Navigator](https://yandex.com/support/navigator/en/), or [Yandex Maps](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/). If you need to save battery and follow the routes as accurately as possible, select RouteQ. 
    
    2. Tap **Save and continue**.

* **Voice navigation**  
    
    If you're using the RouteQ's internal navigation system, you can set up voice navigation:

    1. Tap **Voice navigation**.

    2. Toggle **Enable sound for all events**. You can disable the option for events you don't want to be announced.

        If you're using an external navigation system ([Yandex Navigator](https://yandex.com/support/navigator/en/) or [Yandex Maps](https://yandex.com/support/m-maps/en/)), you can set up voice navigation within those apps.

* **Language**

    1. Select your preferred language — Russian, English, Kazakh, French, Turkish, or Spanish.

    2. Tap **Save and continue**.

If you have any questions, contact support. To do this, select **Contact app support**.

## Routes {#courier-routes}

After going through the settings, tap ![](_images/navigation-back.svg) in the upper-left corner and open your routes.

Your username in the [RouteQ](https://yandex.com/courier) system may not match your phone number. If so, the list of routes in the app will be empty.

To display the assigned routes:

1. Go to [Settings](#courier-settings) → **My companies**.
1. Make sure that your client companies are displayed in the list. 

    If you don't see them, contact your manager or customer support.

1. Next to the company name, tap ![](_images/new-company.svg).
1. Enter your username and tap **Add**.

After that, you'll be able to see the routes.
