# Courier push notifications

Couriers get push notification on their mobile device when:

- They are assigned a route or routes.
- They have to call a client.
- Their signal disappears.

{% note info %}

Couriers receive all notifications by default.

{% endnote %}

## Conditions for receiving push notifications {#conditions}

For the courier to receive notifications:

**Logistics coordinator:**

1. Specify the courier's phone number in the [interface](https://yandex.com/courier) (for more information, see [Couriers](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/delivery/interface/couriers.md)).
2. Pass the Track & Trace username to the courier.

**Courier:**

1. Install the [RouteQ](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/rq-app/index.md) mobile app.
2. Register in the app with the username received from the logistics coordinator.
3. Allow the app to send push notifications.

## Types of push notifications {#types}

{% note warning %}

Push notifications are standard for all companies and can't be changed.

{% endnote %}

If you need to set a time window, contact support.

### Route assignment {#assigning-to-route}

**Notification text**

:   You were assigned a route for `<company name>`.

**Conditions for sending**

: The courier is assigned a route:

  - When the route is created with that courier.
  - When the route's courier is reassigned.

  The notification is sent right after the [routes are uploaded](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/delivery/load-data.md) to Track & Trace.

  {% note info %}

  If a courier is assigned multiple routes, they will receive a separate notification for each one.

  {% endnote %}

### Client call required {#need-to-call}

**Notification text**

:   Please don't forget to call the client about order `<order number>` `<order address>`.

**Conditions for sending**

: The recipient must be called before the courier arrives. This is necessary for orders that were uploaded to Track & Trace without prior agreement with the client (for more information, see [Order status when uploading routes](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/delivery/load-data.md)).

  A notification about the call is sent to the courier `X` seconds before the [estimated time of arrival (ETA)](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/delivery/functions/eta.md). By default, the time is 1800 seconds (30 minutes).

### Lost signal from the courier {#signal-disappearance}

**Notification text**

: GPS signal is lost. Your location is no longer shared.

**Conditions for sending**

: The server stops receiving coordinates from the courier on the route (reasons may include background geolocation being turned off or the application being closed).

  A notification is sent if no coordinates are received over `X` seconds. By default, the time is 180 seconds (3 minutes).

### Scheduled end time of the route {#route-end}

**Notification text**

: The planned end time for the route is in 1 hour.

**Conditions for sending**

: It is almost the planned route finish time, but the courier is still traveling.

  It is 1 hour before the route's scheduled end time.

### Downtime notification {#downtime}

**Notification text**

: The following downtime has been registered: `<downtime duration in hours and minutes>`. Please write what caused the idle time in the chat.

**Conditions for sending**

: The courier stays in one place for a long time instead of moving along the planned route (for more information, see [Courier downtime](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/delivery/functions/idle.md)).

  The notification is sent right after the [downtime start](https://yandex.kz/routing/doc/en/delivery/functions/idle.md#idle-type). By default, the time is 1800 seconds (30 minutes).
